Our Son’s Bike

February 20th, 2012 | Posted by admin in My Stuff - (0 Comments)

My son’s three-year old bike is parked in our garage. Ever since we moved here in the middle of the city he wasn’t able to use it anymore. Unfortunately, there are no parks and bicycle lanes here where he can practice. So his bike has been parked in our open garage for some time. It doesn’t have any protection from sun and the rain. The last time I checked it there were already rusts in its metal parts. If only I can find a product like vci paper to protect it from rust. We need to preserve his bike so he can still use it when we move houses.

Musical Instruments for Safekeeping

Last week, I received an urgent message from my friend. She asked if she can leave her husband’s musical instruments at our house while they fly to Bangkok for a five month work stint. Since my husband is a guitarist I knew he would be happy to grant such request so I obliged. Aside from that, I really couldn’t say no to my friend since we went back a long way.

The day arrived and we met her at the mall to get the stuff. She had a bass guitar, an amplifier, an guitarlele, and a printer that she wanted us to keep. My hubby was excited to check out her husband’s stuff and was immediately impressed when he opened it after we arrived home. We learned that my friend’s husband was fond of bidding at ebay that’s why he had a lot of musical instruments. Hubby wanted to bid too but I reminded him he just bought himself a line 6 spider 212 a year ago. Anyway, I was just kidding. I would be happy if he buys something for himself because he’s working so hard all the time. If only he’d allow me to surprise him with a guitar I would have bought one for him myself. :)

Almost Booked a Flight to Boracay for July

I was awake at midnight to try and finish up some work when I received an email from Cebu Pacific. They were offering an almost P1 sale so I hurriedly checked their website. I was there trying to get a ticket to Boracay and I found one but at the last minute I decided not to. The reason being that if ever we would travel in the rainy months of July, August, or September and I don’t want us to be stuck there while there is a storm. Although the total ticket price would only be less than P500 for all four of us I decided to not push through any more. I think the best time to travel there is in January to coincide with the Ati Atihan Festival so I better wait until they sell tickets for that period.
